Keith Andrews admits his squad are ‘in a good place’ for the trip to the Amex Stadium

Keith Andrews asserted that the mood is positive in the Brentford camp before the clash with Brighton as the Premier League returns following a two week hiatus for the international break.
The Bees have been impressive at the Gtech Community Stadium,, taking points off Chelsea, Man United, and Liverpool at home within the space of seven weeks. But the focus is now on improving their away record by 5pm on Saturday afternoon.
Andrews hopes that the momentum of the last fortnight will fire up his players. Two of his defensive options were part of a memorable 3-2 victory for Ireland against Hungary, while star striker in the squad, Igor Thiago, continues to set his sights high after making a strong start to the campaign for the team.
“I want to enjoy watching my team. I want to set up the team to get results first and foremost, but equally I want the fans to be engaged. I’ve enjoyed watching us for the vast majority of this season.
“[The players] are in a good place. The nature of the game is that you win some games and lose some games. Scotland v Denmark epitomises that, with two of our key players directly involved. The contrast of emotions is so different. It was nice to get them all back in the building together yesterday.
“[Igor] is clearly very ambitious and very patriotic, and would love to don the Brazil jersey. It’s a huge ambition of his, and we’ll help and support him as much as we can to hopefully achieve that.
“I’m delighted, first and foremost, to see the team get through a tricky window, and at the manner of the results. I nearly pulled my hamstring jumping off the sofa when Troy Parrott scored that goal. It was great for Caoimhin Kelleher and Nathan Collins.”
