3 Alabama stars injured, will miss Eastern Illinois game

Alabama will play the Eastern Illinois game without three stars on offense.
Wide receiver Germie Bernard, tight end Josh Cuevas and center Parker Brailsford will miss the game because of injuries, Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer said on the pregame radio broadcast.
“He will be alright next week,” DeBoer said of Bernard.
DeBoer said he also expects Brailsford to return for the Auburn game.
DeBoer did not specify what Cuevas’ availability would be for the Iron Bowl.
Each player is a starter for the Crimson Tide. Bernard is Alabama’s leading receiver this season, having caught 49 receptions for 676 yards and six touchdowns.
Brailsford has been Alabama’s center all season. Geno VanDeMark took snaps at center in his place during warmups.
Meanwhile, Cuevas was spotted with a medical boot on his right foot. This season, he has caught 30 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns.
No. 10 Alabama will face Eastern Illinois on Saturday (1 p.m. CT, ESPN+/SEC Network+) at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
