Live updates: Michigan Wolverines football at Maryland Terrapins

Maryland strikes first, takes 7-0 lead over Michigan
Michigan won the toss and deferred to the second half.
Maybe the Wolverines should have taken the ball.
Malik Washington led the Terrapins on a 10-play, 75-yard drive that ended with Washington’s 1-yard touchdown pass to Dorian Fleming.
Availability report
Beat writer Angelique Chengelis has today’s availability report:
Among the notables not playing today are Semaj Morgan, Ernest Hausmann, Rod Moore and of course, Justice Haynes remains out.
Head coach Sherrone Moore told the Big Ten Network that running back Jordan Marshall will be a game-time decision.
A win is a win
Former Lions offensive coordinator and current Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson recently said, “Never apologize for a win” after his team made costly errors yet somehow rallied to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals.
The same philosophy could apply to the Michigan Wolverines, who had five turnovers yet eked out a 24-22 victory at Northwestern last weekend.
But the last thing the Wolverines want to do is give the Maryland Terrapins an opportunity, as the Terrapins have 18 interceptions, which is the second-highest in the FBS and No. 1 among power-conference teams.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood had a pretty good game throwing the ball against the Wildcats, two interceptions notwithstanding, completing 21 of 32 passes for 280 yards.
Defensively, the Wolverines are well-equipped to handle the Terrapins, who average just 23.3 points per game, ranked 97th in scoring offense.
