Returning Star Wars Show Debuts Trailer For Final Season

The trailer for the final season of Young Jedi Adventures has been released. The animated Star Wars show is set during the High Republic era, approximately 200 years before the prequels. The series follows a group of Jedi younglings as they go on adventures and learn from wise teachers, including Jedi Master Yoda himself.
A trailer has now debuted for season 3, which will conclude the series. All seven episodes will come to Disney+ and Disney Jr. on December 8. The trailer begins with younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs joyfully racing. They are then introduced to Beepers, Dozer, and Gigi, a trio of new droids who will help them on their final mission.
Their main antagonist this season is a master droidsmith named Rex Minuu, who is seen unleashing fearsome droids against the younglings. Yoda tells his students, “Proud of you I am” and later says, “May they grow up strong and bright.” The footage ends with a shot of Kai, Lys, and Nubs as Jedi Padawans who are now all grown up. Check out the trailer below:
As seen in the trailer, Kai, Lys, and Nubs will once again be joined by their close friend and pilot Nash Durango during many of their adventures, and Cyrus Vuundir/Taborr will be returning too. One of their adventures will seemingly take them to Naboo as well, where they will travel and evade formidable underwater monsters in a tribubble bongo as Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Jar Jar Binks do in The Phantom Menace.
Young Jedi Adventures‘ season 3 cast includes Ja’Siah Young as Kai, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nash, Trey Murphy as Cyrus/Taborr, Gunnar Sizemore as Wes Vinik, Piotr Michael as Master Yoda, Mason Wertheimer as Rek Minuu, and April Winchell as Dotti. Jamaal Avery Jr., who voiced Kai in season 1, will return to voice the Padawan version of the character in the series epilogue.
Season 3’s release comes after The High Republic publishing initiative concluded earlier in 2025. Beginning with the novel Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule in 2021, the initiative told an interconnected story over the course of numerous novels, comics, audio dramas, and short stories.
The High Republic era made its live-action debut with the premiere of The Acolyte in 2024. However, Young Jedi Adventures brought the era to television for the first time when the series debuted in 2023. Along with its own original characters, the animated series has featured important locations and characters from the publishing initiative, including Starlight Beacon and Jedi Knight Bell Zettifar.
