Leeds United have not made the most of set pieces so far this season.
Leeds are at risk of relegation under Daniel Farke, and their ability to avoid it will be determined by the changes they make over the next few weeks and months.
Most of that will revolve around recruitment, with the 49ers Enterprises left with a lot of work to do to repair the damage they caused in the summer with their poor business.
However, there are also aspects of the performances that can be improved drastically, and one particular stat showcases that.

Joe Rodon is a serious threat for set-pieces
While this says more about the attacking concerns at Elland Road more than anything else, Joe Rodon is Leeds’ joint-top scorer this season, alongside Lukas Nmecha.
Both of them have been scored from a corner, showcasing just how strong the Welsh international can be in those situations.
His importance is only amplified by the fact that only Erling Haaland has won more first contacts from attacking corners than Rodon, with his 11 compared to the Welshman’s 10.
Two of those led to goals from Rodon, while three of the other contacts won resulted in a shot on target for Leeds.

However, while the stat itself is impressive, it begs the question as to why Leeds haven’t scored more from set pieces.
Leeds’ corner record is woeful
Leeds have only scored from a corner on three occasions since April last season, when Ao Tanaka netted in their 4-0 win over Bristol City.
Only one of their goals has been direct from the corner, while the other two have arrived from either the second or third passage of play.
To find their next recent goal direct from a corner, you have to go back to December 2024, when Rodon was on the score sheet again for Leeds in a 2-0 win over Derby.
Given Rodon’s dominance in the air, it’s clear that there is an issue with how the Whites are set up for set-pieces, and it is something that Farke needs to find a remedy for.
