The Kansas City Chiefs have been the AFC champions in five of the last six seasons but at 5-5 after back-to-back losses to the Bills and Broncos they have work to do when they host the Indianapolis Colts in NFL Week 12 on Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs need to raise their game in their final eight regular-season outings after last week’s 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos left them third in the AFC West with a 5-5 record.
Their latest losses to the Bills and Broncos came on the road, though, and the defending AFC champions have been much more formidable at home, winning four of their five games at Arrowhead Stadium. Their only loss came against Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles.
Andy Reid’s team have secured all of their home wins by double-figure margins, including three by 17 or more points. The Colts are not likely to be pushovers but the home side can cover a small handicap.
The Colts have done a fantastic job this season under head coach Shane Steichen. Quarterback Daniel Jones is third in the league for passing yards, while running back Jonathan Taylor is in the MVP conversation with 17 touchdowns already this season and he made a ridiculous 244 rushing yards in their latest game against the Falcons in Berlin before their bye last week.
Only two of the Colts’ wins have come against teams with winning records – the Chargers and the Broncos – and while the Chiefs don’t fall into that category they remain a tough team to beat at home.
The Chiefs have won their last nine games following a loss of four or fewer points and can bounce back again with an important victory.
