Richard Ashcroft’s 2026 tour follows a phenomenal year in 2025, which saw him earning rapturous, stadium-wide receptions as special guest to Oasis through their run of huge summer shows.

His recent singles generated great anticipation ahead of his seventh solo studio album Lovin You, which charted at Number Three in the UK charts following its release last month.

The new album is already adding to the current rediscovery of Richard’s vast, influential songbook, which has taken him from huge success with The Verve led by the 11-times Platinum smash Urban Hymns through to an expansive solo career.

Tom Meighan’s unmistakable vocals were a central component to Kasabian’s timeless hits, including Fire, Club Foot, Shoot The Runner and more, from their five UK Number One albums – which won NME, Q, Mojo and BRIT awards.

After his departure from the band in 2020, Tom returned in 2023 with debut solo album The Reckoning heralding the emergence of a more reflective man, older, wiser, baring his scars for all to see in the new songs.

With a strong and dedicated fan base, Apollo Junction will open the show. Most recently the band released their second album What In The World born from highs, lows, countless gigs, and all the chaos in between.

Richard Ashcroft joins Bastille, Bowling For Soup and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Katy Perry, The Streets, McFLY, Garbage and Skunk Anansie, MIKA, Two Door Cinema Club, Billy Ocean, Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics, Ethel Cain, David Gray and the Blackbird Festival, featuring Alter Bridge, Skindred, BUSH, Florence Black and Cardinal Black among the headline announcements for TK Maxx presents DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle 2026 which is presented by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.

DEPOT Live founder Nick Saunders said: “Richard Ashcroft is an incredible songwriter and frontman – and his popularity is soaring right now after an exceptional year that’s seen him winning new fans alongside those faithful followers who have been there since The Verve days. We cannot wait to welcome him to Cardiff Castle for a spectacular outdoor show which will be a highlight of the summer.”
