Norway officially call-up Manchester United duo for fixtures against Brazil and Denmark

Norway recently officially qualified for the FIFA World Cup finals in North America next year with a perfect eight wins out of eight during their qualifying campaign.
Powered by the scoring power of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who scored 16 times during the campaign, the team scored 37 times and conceded just five goals.
In one of these performances, against Moldova, the striker contributed to seven goals as Norway beat their opponents 11-1.
With the main stage of European qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup now over, the majority of sides who have qualified through qualifying from Europe have been confirmed with sides such as England, France, and Spain also qualifying with ease.
But, with the finals now under a year away, attention from national sides who have qualified could turn to preparing in the best way for the tournament in North America next year.
Now, Norway have called up two Manchester United players as the national side undergo their next set of fixtures.
However, these players have been called up from the women’s ranks, not the men’s ranks.
Confirming the selection on their official website, Norway have stated that Elisabeth Terland and Lisa Naalsund have been called to the women’s team for their fixtures against Brazil and Denmark.
The first of these encounters, against Brazil, takes place on the 28th of November with a 18:00 kick-off time.
Meanwhile, the Denmark fixture will take place on the 1st of December with a 17:00 kick-off time.
Terland has featured nine times and scored twice for Manchester United’s Women in the Women’s Super League while Naalsund has featured seven times and scored once.
Furthermore, both players have been regular featurees in the Norway Women’s national team since their respective debuts in 2019 (Elisabeth Terland) and 2017 (Lisa Naalsund).
