Lakers’ Luka Doncic Talks LeBron James, Kobe Bryant’s Legacy in Snoop Dogg Video

Luka Dončić had just the answer Snoop Dogg wanted to hear.
The rapper, entertainer and Los Angeles Lakers fan interviewed the star guard and asked him what the most difficult part of playing with LeBron James is when they are sharing the court.
“I wouldn’t say any toughest,” Dončić said. “… He just wants to be great, man. Just talking about his 23rd season, I say ‘I might not be able to walk in my 23rd season.’ And he’s still doing it at the best of the best. It’s insane.”
Snoop Dogg also asked Dončić if he ever thinks about what it means to be playing with an all-time great on the same team Kobe Bryant did for so many years.
“Yeah, for sure. I mean, Kobe brought so many championships here,” he said. “You know, LeBron brought a championship here. So I want to be the next one to do it for sure. I met Kobe, I’m playing with LeBron. Just as a little kid in Slovenia, I just wanted to play basketball. Just wanted to touch the NBA. And now I’m playing with the best.”
Considering the Lakers will likely build around Dončić for years to come even after James retires, his understanding of the franchise’s illustrious history is surely welcome news for the fanbase.
And him becoming the next Laker great would be anything but surprising.
After all, the five-time All-NBA selection is on the short list of the best players in the NBA and currently leads the league with 34.5 points per game this season. He is in full control of the tempo and flow of a game seemingly whenever he is on the floor as an elite scorer, facilitator and even rebounder from the backcourt.
Dončić is the primary reason the Lakers are off to an impressive 12-4 start even though James was sidelined for the start of the campaign with sciatica.
But now they are both on the court together, which, as Dončić puts it, is not difficult to navigate at all.
