Report: Seahawks working to bring back Quandre Diggs

The Seattle Seahawks are working on a reunion with three-time Pro Bowl safety Quandre Diggs, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson.
Henderson reported Tuesday morning that Seattle is attempting to bring the 11-year pro back to the Pacific Northwest as a member of its practice squad.
Where the Seahawks would land if NFL playoffs started now
Henderson’s report came shortly after Diggs posted a photo of his daughter and Seahawks mascot Blitz on social media with caption “no sources needed just my guy!” The post included lyrics from the Skyler Grey song “Coming Home, Pt. II.”
If the Seahawks are to sign Diggs, he would help shore up a safety group that has been hammered by injuries. Julian Love, a Pro Bowler in 2023, has missed the past seven games and been on injured reserve since Nov. 1 with a hamstring issue. Ty Okada, who has started the seven games since Love has been out, is dealing with an oblique injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s win over the Titans.
Head coach Mike Macdonald on Monday said Okada is a candidate to go on IR, which would keep him out for at least the next four games. It was unclear if Love will return from IR this week.
Diggs previously spent 4 1/2 seasons with the Seahawks from 2019-23. He was originally acquired in a midseason trade with the Detroit Lions.
The Texas product earned three straight Pro Bowl selections with Seattle from 2020-22, securing at least four interceptions in each season. He had 345 tackles, 18 interceptions, 32 passes defended and two forced fumbles in 72 regular season games as a Seahawk. Diggs’ 18 interceptions are 11th in franchise history.
Seattle released Diggs in March 2024 as he was heading into the final year of his contract. He signed a one-year deal with Tennessee Titans in August 2024 and another one-year deal with Tennessee before the start of this season.
Diggs played in nine games and made four starts for the Titans this year before he was released Nov. 7, which came two days after the Titans claimed former Seahawks safety Jerrick Reed II off waivers.
In 154 career games over 11 seasons with the Detroit Lions, Seahawks and Titans, Diggs has 652 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 24 interceptions, 57 passes defended and five forced fumbles.
