Dublin commuters are facing delays to Luas services on the Red Line this evening.

The tram operator said the delays are due to “an earlier incident” at the St James’s stop on that line.

Passengers are advised to allow “additional time” for travel, and that Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for as long as the delay lasts.

Please be advised that Red Line services are currently operating with delays, following an earlier incident at St James’s. Please allow additional time for travel as we regulate the service. Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this disruption. We apologise…

The incident in question caused delays to services operating between Blackhorse and Heuston Station.

TFI confirmed that services will operate between Heuston – Connolly, and Blackhorse – Tallaght Saggart only.

There have also been reports of delays on the south inner city with delays to Luas and bus journeys due to a protest in the area.
