BTS’s Jimin Wins “International Male Artist” at Brazil’s BreakTudo Awards… 3 Consecutive Years of Victories
BTS’s Jimin has once again proven his global presence by winning a trophy for the third consecutive year at a major Brazilian awards show.
According to the official announcement from Brazil’s BreakTudo Awards on November 19 (KST), Jimin was selected as this year’s winner of the “International Male Artist (Artista Masculino Internacional)” category, marking his third straight win. The BreakTudo Awards is a representative Brazilian awards ceremony where winners are chosen directly by the public across music and entertainment. Since 2023, Jimin has dominated major categories every year, solidifying his position as one of the most beloved K-pop artists in Brazil.
In 2023, Jimin achieved his first win by taking home “Hit Internacional do Ano (International Hit of the Year)” with “Like Crazy.” In 2024, he claimed two awards with “Who”—“International Hit of the Year” and “International Rising Artist.” This year’s win for “International Male Artist” adds to his growing list of accolades, bringing his total to four BreakTudo trophies.
Jimin’s popularity in Brazil is also evident in streaming metrics. Upon its release in 2024, “Who” recorded 725,064 daily streams on Spotify Brazil—the highest single-day streaming record ever for a K-pop solo song in the country. It also debuted at No. 31 on the Brazilian Billboard Hot 100, marking the highest debut by an Asian artist. Currently, “Who” has surpassed 127.3 million streams on Spotify Brazil alone, making it the most-streamed K-pop solo song in the country and showcasing the continued strong support of Brazilian listeners.
