Thanksgiving 2025 is almost here, with Black Friday following shortly after.
Although several stores used to remain open on the federal holiday for early Black Friday shopping, many have started to close on Thanksgiving so employees can have the day off.
Kohl’s is one store that tended to stay open for several years like it normally does on most other federal holidays.
But will you be able to start your holiday shopping at Kohl’s right after family dinner this Thanksgiving?
Is Kohl’s open on Thanksgiving 2025?
No, Kohl’s will not be open. Shoppers will have to wait until Black Friday to take advantage of the deals in-store.
The department stores will be closed on Thanksgiving so that staff can stay home to celebrate with their families. This follows the company’s Thanksgiving celebration plans from last year.
But Kohl’s will reopen early on Black Friday, Nov. 28, for shoppers to access all the major sales starting at 6 a.m. ET.
