Stephen Curry’s injury looks like awful news for Warriors

The Golden State Warriors battled all night long against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night, but came up short in the end, suffering a 104-100 NBA Cup loss.
However, the main storyline attached to the contest is Stephen Curry’s injury status. The four-time NBA champion exited the contest with less than a minute to play and appeared to be a significant pain.
ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel detailed the event that led to Curry’s apparent lower-body injury.
“Stephen Curry does not look good out there and is moving around very slow with a massive limp,” Siegel wrote on X/Twitter.
“He seemed to hurt what looks like his left leg while taking a charge from Amen Thompson, only for the call to be overturned several minutes ago.”
While Curry attempted to gut it out and finish the contest, he was physically unable to continue playing, forcing the Warriors to attempt to snag a come-from-behind win over Ime Udoka’s crew without their best player.
Shortly after Siegel’s tweet and the Warriors’ four-point loss, Siegel’s ClutchPoints co-worker, Kenzo Fukuda, reported that the Warriors are diagnosing their standout point guard with a right quad contusion and will await an MRI to confirm.
Hopefully, the Davidson product’s MRI comes back clean, and he won’t be at risk of missing significant time on the hardwood heading into December.
