Angry customers throw steak and other food at Denny’s employees: Highland Heights Police Blotter

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio
Disturbance: Wilson Mills Road
A disturbance occurred at Denny’s Nov. 21 when a man and woman threw food at employees around 4:15 a.m.
The unknown man and woman were gone before officers arrived.
The staff explained that the two had come in to pick up an Uber Eats order and began arguing because they felt their order was wrong.
They then threw food from the order inside and outside of the restaurant when the staff followed them out.
A steak was among the food said to have been thrown.
Detectives are working to identify the suspects so that they can be charged accordingly.
Disturbance: Wilson Mills Road
A man said Nov. 18 that he had exchanged words with a motorist who almost ran over him and his wife as they were walking into Burgers 2 Beer.
He said a man, claiming to be the owner of the neighboring Verizon store, walked over and yelled at him too.
Officers did not locate the others involved. The man did not want to pursue the matter.
General assistance: Highland Road
A woman, 20, came to the police station Nov. 21 to report harassment from a man whom she had been spending time with since meeting him just a couple weeks earlier.
She said he had been coming to her family’s home and had sent messages stating that she was messing with his emotions and that he was “not to be messed with.”
She said he had even followed her to the police station after she came home to find him there, but he continued driving when he saw her pull into the parking lot.
She only knew his username from Snapchat and did not know his real name or age.
Police are investigating.
General assistance: Highland Road
The staff at Mulligan’s Pub said Nov. 18 that a man refused to leave after they asked him to do so because he was rolling a marijuana cigarette at his table.
Officers found the man outside the business and gave him a courtesy ride to his home in the city after confirming that he was OK.
General assistance: Bishop Road
An employee of Aberdeen Crossings said Nov. 24 that she was being harassed by a known woman who said that she was going to come to her place of work to assault her.
Officers spoke to the employee and determined that no threats had been made.
Disturbance: Alpha Drive
Management at Sky Zone reported Nov. 22 that a group of juveniles were threatening to fight.
Responding officers escorted two juveniles from the business at management’s request.
