Greater Manchester will see a mix of snow, rain, hail and sunshine this weekend

Everything you need to know about this weekend’s weather

  • Snow could fall in parts of Greater Manchester this Saturday (November 29), with Met Office weather maps showing wintry showers moving in from the late afternoon.
  • Rochdale, Oldham and Tameside are the areas most likely to see light-moderate snowfall, with the heaviest expected between 6-7pm.
  • Other boroughs across Greater Manchester are set for rain or hail through Saturday evening. The Met Office says snow risk is highest on higher ground in northern England and Scotland.
  • Saturday will reach highs of 8C and lows of 2C, with a 60% chance of rain – and an 80% chance of heavy rain at around 6am.
  • Highs on Sunday will be 7C, with lows of 4C. There will be a 40% chance of rain from around 8pm.
