Telus has brought back its ‘Buy One, Gift One’ promotion, supporting Canadian youth transitioning out of government care, as part of Black Friday. From now until November 30th, the Canadian carrier will give a free phone and a plan to a Canadian youth for every new or certified pre-owned phone purchased.
The Telus Buy One, Gift One promotion returns for the fifth year in a row. The Canadian carrier is once again supporting its Mobility for Good program, which provides a free smartphone and plan to youth aging out of foster care. The goal is to help them transition to independence, offering a way for them to interact with friends, stay connected to support workers, and leverage the device within the workplace as well.
Since the program launched in 2021, Telus has donated over 23,000 phones to Canadian youth. According to Telus, 97 percent of the participants said the program makes it “easier to stay connected to friends, family and support workers.” Of the participants in the past, 86 percent claim the program has helped them find resources in a crisis.
As part of the Buy One, Gift One promotion, Canadian customers must purchase a new or certified pre-owned phone. Eligible devices this year include:

- iPhone 17 Pro
- iPhone 17 Pro Max
- iPhone Air
- Google Pixel 10
- Google Pixel 10 Pro
- Samsung Galaxy S25
- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Samsung Galaxy S25 FE
The Telus Buy One, Gift One promotion is available to all Canadian customers online, by phone, and at select stores.
