DJ Moore vs. Luther Burden III: Fantasy advice for Bears WRs vs. Eagles

For fantasy managers, the Chicago Bears have been one of the more frustrating teams in the NFL this season. While there are plenty of points to be had, the spread in the offense has made things difficult to manage.
Rome Odunze is the number one option, but he’s been one of the most inconsistent players in fantasy since the Week 5 bye. Meanwhile, DJ Moore and Luther Burden III have had their moments, with both drawing a lot of intrigue this season.
For Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Bears’ wide receivers could be in line for a strong day. But, figuring out which receiver to start is nearly impossible for fantasy managers. While Odunze is the number one, what should fantasy managers do with Burden and Moore?
Luther Burden III vs. DJ Moore: Fantasy lineup advice for Week 13
For starters, the matchup against the Eagles isn’t the easiest one, but it can be incredibly beneficial for the Bears’ wide receivers. When they’re lined up opposite Quinyon Mitchell, their production will take a huge hit.
But if aligned opposite Cooper DeJean or the Eagles’ other cornerback, likely Adoree Jackson, then that Bears wide receiver will have an advantage.
With Mitchell not traveling to the slot, any time a Bears wide receiver is lined up in the slot, they will have an advantage this week.
The Bears rotate their slot wide receivers, with Moore, Burden, Odunze, and even Colseton Loveland all seeing time in the slot. When a Bears wide receiver is in the slot or lined up opposite the Eagles CB2, they will have the advantage.
While Odunze is a decent, but risky starting option this week, Moore and Burden are much more challenging decisions to make.

Burden is on the rise, seeing more targets in his last three games (13) than he’s had during any three-game stretch of his career. He’s had 8.1, 5.7, and 9.1 fantasy points in Full PPR leagues during this time.
Moore, on the other hand, has been incredibly inconsistent. He had 22.98 points in Week 9, but followed it up with 0.0, 3.1, and 23.4 fantasy points in the next three weeks. It’s been feast or famine for Moore lately, making him a risky start this week.
Moore should be in lineups over Burden this week, as the rookie receiver has yet to play all of the snaps over Olamide Zaccheaus.
While Burden is a worthy stash, he’s not startable unless managers are in a pinch. Ben Johnson has talked about Burden’s increasing snaps, but for now, Burden can’t be trusted in lineups unless fantasy managers have no other options.
In Week 13 against the Eagles, Moore and Odunze are the better starts, with both being Flex plays against a tough, but beatable, Philadelphia defense.
