Sixers lose big man Andre Drummond vs. Nets due to right knee sprain

NEW YORK — The Philadelphia 76ers are dealing with another injury problem on the court. While they welcomed Paul George back from a right ankle sprain, they lost key big man Andre Drummond in the first half on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets.

Drummond had gotten off to a fast start with seven points, four rebounds, an assist, and a block and was a problem for the Nets all throughout the first half. However, the big man landed awkwardly and was underneath the basket for quite some time in the second quarter before being helped to the locker room.

At halftime, the Sixers announced that Drummond would not return against the Nets due to a right knee sprain.

With Drummond out for the rest of the game, the Sixers will need Adem Bona, Jabari Walker, and Johni Broome to hold down the center spot. All three centers have three fouls each so the Sixers will have to figure out what to do in that situation.
