Deion Sanders Jr. reveals personal struggle for Shedeur Sanders’ second NFL start in Browns vs. 49ers game

Shedeur Sanders is preparing for the second regular-season start of his NFL career against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. And his brother Deion Jr. has shared some insight into it.

On Friday, the former SMU wide receiver-turned-content creator reposted a video of the quarterback’s Cleveland Browns practicing during a blizzard. He captioned it as follows:

“Idk if my camera can make it in those conditions”

Interestingly, coach Kevin Stefanski called the blizzard a boon:

“Good to practice in the elements really all week. To be able to practice in the wind and the snow today was outstanding for our football team.”

He also had this to say about Sanders’ readiness heading into start no. 2:

“Very committed to working at it, doing a great job, communicating with his coaches, with the players. Good work week, but nothing different. I think any player though, once you get one game under your belt, you got the next one coming. I think it can only help.”

Meanwhile, his 49ers counterpart Kyle Shanahan called facing Sanders “weird” given his fandom of Deion Sanders, and his wife and daughters’ fandom of the Colorado Buffaloes. He also reflected on the rookie’s draft slide, expressing surprise at it happening.

Shedeur Sanders receives advice from Browns legend

The first regular-season minutes that Shedeur Sanders played in the NFL were rough. He completed just four passes, was intercepted once by Nate Wiggins, and even ate a sack from safety Kyle Hamilton.

Last Sunday’s outing at the Las Vegas Raiders went better. He finally had double-digit completions and threw a touchdown for the first time in his career, though his interception problem remained.

But for Josh Cribbs, the quality of his performances is determined not during the game itself, but rather after. The former returner said on The Top Dawgs Show:

“It’s never as good or as bad as you think. You might feel like you had your worst game, but then you watch the film and realize, ‘Oh, I didn’t play that bad.’ You might also think you played your best game, but then you notice, ‘Dang, I missed a few reads. I could’ve done even better.’”

Kickoff for the Browns-49ers game is at 1 p,m. ET on CBS.
