Juventus handed injury boost as defender returns to training

Juventus centre-back Federico Gatti has returned to training with the rest of the team and will be available in the upcoming Serie A match against Cagliari.

Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus have been handed a much-needed injury boost in defence as Gatti completed a full training session with the rest of the team on Friday.

TMW and Sky Sport Italia report that the Italy international was seen on the pitch at Continassa with his teammates on the eve of a home Serie A match against the Sardinians.

Gatti had been an unused substitute in the previous Serie A game against Fiorentina and missed the following away Champions League match at Bodo/Glimt due to the flu.

Dusan Vlahovic will also be available against Cagliari tomorrow after spending the whole game against Bodo/Glimt on the bench, being not fully fit.

Juventus are unbeaten under Spalletti, collecting two wins and three draws across all competitions.

Spalletti has not held a pre-match press conference on the eve of the game, but Arkadiusz Milik, Gleison Bremer, Carlo Pinsoglio and Daniele Rugani are expected to be the only unavailable Bianconeri players tomorrow.
