KPop Demon Hunters also managed to hold the number one spot on Netflix’s proverbial leaderboard for multiple months, which is similarly impressive to note.
Even five months later, and with almost an entirely different lineup of films now around it, KPop Demon Slayers is still in Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched movies of the week as of November 17–23, which marks its 23rd consecutive week of holding this title – a detail that is strikingly impressive in of itself, since it shows the movie is still going strong almost half a year later.

Thankfully, we already know there are talks about KPop Demon Hunters 2 already, with reports stating the KPop Demon Hunters sequel is set to release in 2029.
While there’s certainly pressure on KPop Demon Hunters 2 to live up to the level of success the first film is still enjoying, the staggering watch time of the 2025 film shows just how much it’s appealed to a huge audience – and suggested people are rewatching the film in order to enjoy the world and its characters again, meaning these viewers would no doubt be thrilled to get a sequel.
