Australian PGA Championship Live: Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee near lead heading into final round

Much to the disappointment of his hometown fans – and the mulleted Queenslander himself – Cam Smith missed the cut for the second time in three years.

The LIV star finished second here last year and is a past winner of the tournament, but this year has just not been a happy one for Smith on the golf course.

The still able to play in the majors via his 2022 PGA Championship win, but he missed the cut in all four majors in 2025, and his last top ten finish was way back in July, in the LIV event in England.

Smith is out of sorts, and admits he’s “lost”. But Nick Wright spoke with him and Min-Woo Lee and filed this nice piece about Smith yesterday.

Meanwhile, leading Aussie Anthony Quayle showed what he’s capable of when he shot 63 in his final round last year and finished in a tie for third place.

This year the Port Macquare golfer is back with an extra weapon, in the form of legendary caddy Steve Williams.

If you know your golf, you know Williams was Tiger Woods’ bagman for many years, and helped him win countless tournaments.

You’ll also know that “Stevie” then helped Adam Scott become the first Australian to win the Masters, in 2013. He was not on Scott’s bag, but he gave him the tip on where to aim for Scott to drain the winning putt.

Again, allow me to point a nice interview with Quayle by Nick Wright. To find it, you’ll have to scroll down and past the story about the incredible ace from Daniel Gale on Friday.
