The identity of the mystery WWE star who appeared during the men’s Survivor Series WarGames match in tonight’s main event.
Someone completely covered in all black climbed the cage and entered the ring, hitting signature moves of Seth Rollins including a superkick and curb stomp to CM Punk.
This paved the way for Bron Breakker to spear Punk and score the win for the team of Breakker, Brock Lesnar, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul against Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and The Usos.
Now, a new report has revealed the identity of the unknown assailant.
As reported by PWInsider, it was Austin Theory under the black outfit who got involved in the match. Before the moment had even happened, PWInsider reported Theory was backstage and the plan was for him to get involved under a disguise, and then that’s exactly what happened.
Theory has been out of action on WWE TV for several months, which was said to be due to an injury.
Before the original plans for WarGames had to change due to Seth Rollins’ injury, Theory was planned to be part of the team alongside Rollins, Breakker, Reed and Lesnar.
There had been rumors since the start of The Vision post-WrestleMania that Theory was someone who could join the group, and it appears that is now happening.
