Josh Giddey involved in heated row with NBA courtside spectator during Bulls-Hornets game

A frustrated Josh Giddey was involved in an altercation with a courtside fan during the Chicago Bulls’ 123-116 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
With 1:16 left on the clock and the Bulls trailing by seven points in Charlotte, a spectator got under the skin of Giddey prior to a Bulls’ in-bound play.
The spectator called out and gestured with a finger as he taunted Giddey.
Giddey marched down the court to confront the man, with the referee getting between the two.
Security finally arrived and removed the offender to the jeers of the crowd.
“He just said something I didn’t like and I went over to him. That was it,” Giddey said after the game.
“Security took him out and that was the end of it.”
Giddey appeared on target to bag his fifth triple-double haul of the season but did not get the opportunities he needed.
The point guard finished with 25 points, matching Coby White as the Bulls’ top-scorer, and 11 rebounds.
But he just missed the triple-double, posting nine assists as his side sank to their third loss in the past four games.
