Whitney Leavitt, star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and Season 34 semi-finalist on Dancing With The Stars, is heading to Broadway. Leavitt has been tapped to star as Roxie Hart next year in the Tony-winning revival of Chicago, she announced Monday on Instagram.

The Utah-based actress and mom of three has amassed over four million followers online through her dance videos and family-focused comedy and lifestyle content. On Dancing With The Stars this past season, Leavitt gave a nod to Chicago when she and pro partner Mark Ballas performed an Argentine tango to the show’s popular “Cell Block Tango.”

With book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb, Chicago is directed by Walter Bobbie with choreography by Ann Reinking. Set design is by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer.
Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, Chicago has won six Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.
Chicago was adapted for film in 2002, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renée Zellweger. The all-star cast included Richard Gere, Taye Diggs, Christine Baranski and Queen Latifah. The film won six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Zeta-Jones.
