The Missouri Department of Transportation’s traffic cameras showed snow-covered roads.
The Boone County Joint Communications sent a notification to the public asking people to stay home if possible.
The notification read: “Roads in Boone County are deteriorating rapidly. Emergency personnel, along with road crews, are working as quickly as possible. Please stay home if you can.”
One westbound lane of Interstate 70 was closed at exit 144 due to a crash.
