Any Attack on Iran Will Be Met With a Decisive Response

WANA (Dec 01) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee stated that Major General Abdollahi, in a joint meeting with members of the committee, emphasized that any act of aggression against Iran will be met with a firm and regret-inducing response from the Islamic Republic.
Ebrahim Rezaei, referring to the joint session held between committee members and Major General Abdollahi — commander of the central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya — along with a group of military officials, said that during this meeting, the commander presented a report on the combat preparedness and capabilities of Iran’s armed forces.
He added that Major General Abdollahi, pointing to the recent operations of the armed forces — particularly during the 12-day conflict and the blows dealt to the Israeli regime — stated that Israel suffered significant losses in the conflict and its deterrence capabilities were seriously damaged.
Rezaei noted that the commander reiterated that Iran’s response to any form of aggression would be decisive and punitive.
He continued that Major General Abdollahi highlighted the improved combat readiness of Iran’s armed forces, stressing that the current level of capability is “far better and greater than in the past,” and that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared to deliver strong retaliatory strikes against any hostile action.
The committee spokesperson said that members of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee also expressed their views during the meeting, praising the sacrifices and displays of strength by the armed forces during the 12-day conflict and reaffirming their full support for military forces responsible for safeguarding national security.
Referring to remarks by the committee’s chairman, Rezaei said the chairman commended the efforts of the armed forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya central headquarters, stressing that Iran expects its military to act preemptively and deterrently in the face of threats and to deliver a harsh and instructive response to any hostile acts by its enemies.
He added that discussions during the session made clear that Iran’s power and preparedness to respond to any aggression have significantly increased, and the country’s defensive and offensive capabilities are now stronger, more advanced, and more precise.
He emphasized that the armed forces maintain a high level of situational awareness regarding enemy movements, ensuring that any hostile action against the Iranian nation will be met with a firm military response.
Rezaei underscored that both in personnel and equipment — across the Army and the IRGC — Iran is in a far better and stronger position than before. “Today, we are ready for any confrontation. We truly possess the capability to defend the country’s land, air, and sea borders and are at the peak of readiness to protect the nation,” he said.
