Rapper and Travis Barker collaborator POORSTACY dead at 26

Rapper POORSTACY has died at the age of 26 after suffering a medical emergency in Florida, according to a report.

POORSTACY, whose legal name is Carlito Milfort, died early Saturday morning, the Boca Raton Police Department told TMZ.

His death was confirmed to the outlet by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner. The cause of his death is not immediately known.

A hotel worker in Boca Raton told the outlet that POORSTACY suffered a medical emergency on Saturday morning and was transported to a local hospital.

He had been staying at the hotel for 10 days and checked in with a woman and a toddler, according to the report.

No one else was injured or taken to the hospital, the outlet said.

POORSTACY, a rising rap star from Palm Beach, garnered acclaim and the attention of prominent artists with his signature blend of emo, punk, and hip-hop music.

He was a frequent collaborator of other artists, including Blink-182 drummer and music producer Travis Barker.

One of his closest allies in the industry was Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes, whom he described as a good friend and mentor.

“Oli sends me clothes that he thinks would look good on me,” Stacy recalled of Sykes, his longtime idol, in a 2021 interview with Revolver.

“He sends me handwritten letters, and we play Call of Duty until six in the f—-in’ morning,” he said.

He was a frequent collaborator of other artists, including Blink-182 drummer and music producer Travis Barker.

POORSTACY was also featured on the Grammy-nominated “Bill & Ted Face the Music” movie soundtrack.

He created an impressive two studio albums and two EPs by the age of 26.

POORSTACY’s social media has been flooded with comments mourning the rap protégé.

“Love u forever, brother,” one user said.

“We’re supposed to beat the odds together, brother. I need you here,” another comment read.

The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
