Rosie O’Donnell has once again taken a brutal jab at President Donald Trump during an interview with former CNN journalist Jim Acosta, calling Trump a “pig” and claiming he was “in the throes of a serious cognitive health crisis.”
O’Donnell, 63, spoke from Ireland, where she has been living with her youngest child, Clay, since leaving the United States after the 2024 election.
The comedian said Trump’s actions have damaged the country and influenced her family’s decision to move out of the US. She described how her child reacted to the move. “My daughter is now saying, ‘Damn him. Damn Trump,’ and smashing her hand on the table,” O’Donnell said on The Jim Acosta Show.

“She said, ‘He made us move in order for our own safety. And now, he’s destroying the country.'”
O’Donnell said she had spent decades butting heads with Trump and wanted to protect Clay, 12, from being involved in the beef.
“Somebody can tap me out, you know?” she said. “I did 22 years. I don’t really need to do it anymore, and I don’t want my kid to be so affected by it.”
O’Donnell went on to accuse Trump of exploiting the pre-Thanksgiving shooting of two National Guards.
She said Trump used the incident as an example to call for more immigration control.

“We have to take it away from just him because he’s not smart enough to be orchestrating a coup like this,” O’Donnell said.
“It’s about the cult of personality and celebrity in America and how toxic that is.”
She later took aim at Trump’s fitness and health.
“If you can’t tell that this man is in the throes of a serious cognitive health crisis, then you’re not awake or alive,” she said.
O’Donnell referenced a video of Trump walking with an aide toward a helicopter.

“He was leaning on her because the left foot doesn’t function the same way that it used to,” she said. “He’s in trouble, and he’s ill, and no one is talking about that.” O’Donnell went on to brutally label Trump as a “pig.”
Referring to the moment that Trump called reporter Catherine Lucey a “piggy,” O’Donnell said, “How can you sit there and listen to this pig attack a reporter for doing her job and call her a pig? Any other job in the country, if you treat people like that, you’d be fired.”
Meanwhile, Trump has publicly mocked O’Donnell for over a decade.

When asked earlier this year by Micheál Martin about her relocation, Trump remarked, “Do you know who she is? You’re better off not knowing.”
O’Donnell later called the exchange disrespectful to the Irish politician.
She added, “The President of the United States has it out for me and has for 20 years. He sort of uses me as a punchline whenever he feels the need.”
