I’m A Celebrity fans ask ‘why is it okay’ over Jack Osbourne’s response to a Bushtucker Trial on the ITV reality show.

The beginning of Wednesday night’s (December 3) episode saw Jack discussing in the Bush Telegraph how he was feeling about being in the Australian jungle for his dad Ozzy’s first birthday since his death several months ago.

Putting on a brave face, having previously cried when talking about his dad to Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley and comedian Eddie Kadi, Jack said: “I’m ok though, it’s just another day at the end of the day.” With the stars now getting to pick who gets take part in the Bushtucker trials, Jack and his campmates agreed that he was the perfect person to take on ‘Dangerous Discoveries’

That morning, the camp reached a unanimous decision that Jack should face that day’s Bushtucker Trial ‘Dangerous Discoveries’. Jack met Ant and Dec at the trial clearing, where he called the Newcastle paid ‘national treasures’.

It was then revealed that Jack would be positioned in the centre of an archaeological site, where he’d have to unearth some ancient stars. For the first part of the Trial he was strapped on his back in the middle of the pit where he’d have to search four hell holes for four stars. The second part allowed Jack to unstrap himself and find the remaining four stars hidden amongst the rest of the site.

Given ten minutes to find eight stars in total, Jack encountered yabbies, but he was hesitant to put his hand in thinking they were crabs. Ant and Dec tried their best to encourage him by saying they were ‘friends of Jaquaman’.

Jack struggled with the digging part of the trial, admitting that he was ‘not doing good’ as it took him two minutes to find a coin star. After getting the first star, Jack entered his groove as he went on to meet toads, lizards, small crocodiles, spiders, snakes and a ridge tail lizard.

The latter animal Ant revealed was a Bushtucker Trial first as they’d never had them on I’m A Celebrity before as Dec joked that ‘he’s difficult to book’. With one minute left to go, Jack returned to the toad hell hole to find the star-printed coin, which he sadly couldn’t get in time.

Concluding the trial with seven out of the eight stars on offer, Jack informed Ant and Dec that it ‘was the worst dig in the sand I’ve ever had’.

Returning to the camp, Jack told his fellow celebrities about his nemesis the toads which meant he didn’t get the final star, as he recalled: “The toads are what got me! I couldn’t find the coin where the toads were and it turned out that a toad was just sat on top of it!”

One thing fans weren’t happy with on X, previously known as Twitter, was Jack pretending he did badly at the trial before revealing good news, having previously gotten annoyed at Angry Ginge for doing the same thing in a past Bushtucker Trial.

@ryanSoapKing25 said: “So it’s one rule for Jack and one rule for for the others when it comes to lying about the number of stars you’ve got. #ImaCeleb.” @Erel124 added: “But I thought Jack wasn’t here for using gimmicks to announce how many stars??: #ImACeleb.”

@sweetenersamx wrote: “oh jack faking how many stars you got. how can we trust u? is that even the real jack #imaceleb.” @Utd_AJD posted: “Don’t know how the camp can trust Jack after not being truthful about how many stars he got #ImACeleb.”

@eds_afterglow commented: “Jack fake disappointed after a trial twice now but couldn’t trust ginge when he did it #imaceleb #imacelebrity.” @Lou1s_T28 stated: “Wait, so it’s okay for Jack to make that joke but he complains about Ginge doing it? #ImACeleb.”
