Major incident causes Perth traffic chaos ahead of AC/DC concert

A serious crash on one of Perth’s major freeways has brought train services to a halt and is causing traffic chaos in the city’s south.

Southbound traffic on the Kwinana Freeway is very heavy.

Train services on the Mandurah Line, in both directions, have been cancelled due to a serious crash on the Kwinana Freeway, near Cockburn Station.

Transperth says the crash has impacted rail infrastructure, and is also causing delays on the Yanchep Line.

The Thornlie-Cockburn Line was also down for a short period but is now running.

Train replacement services have begun between Elizabeth Quay and Aubin Grove.

The cancelled train service on the Mandurah Line will impact services for tonight’s AC/DC concert at Perth Stadium.

The Public Transport Authority is working through train replacement services.
