All flights grounded at Edinburgh Airport after IT error

Edinburgh Airport has been brought to a standstill after an IT error.
The airport confirmed the issue on social media at 9.29am on Friday, citing an issue with its air traffic control provider.
It said teams are working to resolve the issue “as soon as possible”.
Passengers expecting to use the airport today are being urged to contact their airline for the latest travel advice.
It is not yet known what caused the issue, or how long the disruption will last.
In a statement on Friday morning, the airport said: “Due to an IT issue with our air traffic control provider, no flights are currently operating from Edinburgh Airport.
“Teams are working to resolve the issue and will resolve as soon as possible.
“We will provide updates when possible – please contact your airline for the latest information on your flight.”
Edinburgh Airport is Scotland’s busiest airport and the sixth busiest in the UK, according to its website.
