Wilson Opens Up About Her “Amazing Boyfriend” in Cosmopolitan Interview

In a recent cover interview with Cosmopolitan, A’ja Wilson opened up about her relationship, describing her boyfriend as “an amazing partner” who provides her with a sense of security and comfort. “He’s truly a gift,” she remarked, noting their shared professional background, which enhances their connection. Wilson expressed gratitude for his support, emphasizing that he has been instrumental in helping her navigate her journey. “I know he’s like, ‘I don’t know what A’ja I’m going to get today, but I’m blessed to be beside her.’” This sentiment reflects the importance of authenticity, as she highlighted the joy of being able to be her true self around him.

When asked about the length of their relationship, Wilson playfully noted, “Publicly, not even a lot,” hinting at the privacy they maintain despite their obvious mutual support.

Earlier in February, during NBA All-Star Weekend in San Francisco, Wilson shared her thoughts on Valentine’s Day, indicating that her boyfriend was unavailable as he focused on recuperation during the break. She viewed this time apart as a meaningful gesture of care, stating, “And that’s the best Valentine gift that I can truly give him, is just the rest.” Although she refrained from confirming their romantic status, she did reflect on the longstanding friendship and support they have shared, particularly emphasizing her boyfriend’s commitment to promoting her signature shoes.

On February 7, in a significant moment for Wilson, Bam Adebayo sported a pair of her A’One Nike sneakers during a game against the Brooklyn Nets. Wilson expressed her excitement, calling it a blessing for her shoe to be showcased on such a prominent platform. “So I’m glad that people can love on it as much as I love on it,” she stated, capturing the pride and determination behind her brand both on and off the court.
