Snow and blowing snow impact travel this morning

A special weather statement remains in effect for our area this morning due to snow and blowing snow.

Environment Canada says up to 15 cm of snow could make roads and walkways difficult to navigate.

Those travelling north or east may run into worse conditions.

A yellow snow squall warning is in effect between Montreal River Harbour and Wawa where narrow lake effect bands could produce heavy snow in localized areas.

The area from Massey to just west of North Bay is also under a yellow snow squall warning where total local snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm are possible.

What: Poor visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Snowfall amounts up to 10 cm with locally up to 15 cm possible.

When: Continuing into this morning.

Additional information: Roads and walkways may be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. The morning commute may be affected.
