Miley Cyrus is engaged to musician Maxx Morando, and amid the interest in her personal life, she also gave an interview commenting on the health of someone dear to her heart. That someone is her godmother, Dolly Parton.
While attending the premiere of “Avatar: Fire and Ash” on Monday, December 1, Cyrus gave an interview to Entertainment Tonight. She discussed the new Avatar film, for which she sings the track, “Dream As One.” The song will close out the movie, and she praised director James Cameron for his ability to “make something this large a scale,” yet “he never loses the heart, which is so hard to do.”
Cyrus was also asked about Parton and how she is doing amid health concerns. “She’s always going to keep the show going. The show must go on. So she’s just excited to get back to work,” Cyrus said of Parton’s dedication to her work. Although she did not offer more details about Parton’s health, she did not sound concerned either.
Dolly Parton’s Health Concerns
Fans have been concerned for Parton after she canceled several appearances and when her sister Stella made a social post asking fans for prayers, they immediately feared the worst. The “Jolene” singer has had to make a statement letting fans know she’s doing alright, but has been struggling with kidney-related health issues. She posted a video on Instagram, which became a viral sensation as she informed fans, “I ain’t dead yet!”

Parton checked in with her fans again on Thanksgiving, when she shared a short clip on Instagram. “I am so thankful for all of you… just know that I will always love you,” she told the camera while wishing fans a happy Thanksgiving. Fans flooded the comment section with messages of love and support.
“I am thankful for wonderful people like you, Dolly who care about making a difference in the world,” a comment reads. “Happy Thanksgiving Mrs. Dolly! Many Blessings to You and you family!” another fan shared.
“Your a amazing person, Dolly! You help us all with just being here, and so much more that you do,” a third person shared. The comment section is filled with similar messages, with fans showing their appreciation.
Parton is so loved that there is constant concern for her well-being. However, Cyrus and Parton have always shared a close bond, so hearing from her that Parton may help fans rest a little easier knowing that their favorite country music icon is on the mend.
