UFC 324 video: Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes first faceoff

LAS VEGAS – The first championship fight of the UFC-Paramount era will be arguably the biggest in women’s MMA history when Kayla Harrison clashes with former American Top Team teammate Amanda Nunes.
The megafight goes down Jan. 24at UFC 324 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Paramount+), and in the first of two title fights on the card, women’s bantamweight champion Harrison (19-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will welcome UFC Hall of Famer Nunes (23-5 MMA, 16-2 UFC) back from retirement in a highly anticipated matchup with much history behind it.
After Nunes walked away from the sport and vacated the belt in June 2023, Harrison has come along and taken over the division, taking the strap from Julianna Peña in June to lure “The Lioness” back to the cage for a contest that has massive legacy implications.
With the event less than two months away, UFC 324 promotional efforts kicked off with an on-sale press conference Friday in “Sin City.” Both Harrison and Nunes were on hand to take questions from the media, then afterward had the first staredown since their title fight became official.
