Cincinnati Bengals receiver Jermaine Burton did not travel with the team to Buffalo for their NFL Week 14 game against the Bills at Highmark Stadium, and he was ruled out for non-injury related reasons, per the team’s injury report.

The Bengals announced before the game that Burton was suspended for the game. Burton’s suspension costs him a game check worth $59,320.88.

Burton was on the injury report during the week with an ankle injury, but was listed as a full participant Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Burton, a third-round pick of the Bengals in the 2024 NFL draft who attended Georgia and Alabama, hasn’t played in a regular-season game during the 2025 season.

Burton missed practice in August with an injury.

Burton returned kickoffs during the Bengals’ final preseason game against the Colts.

Burton played in 14 games as a rookie, and made one start. He finished the season with four catches for 107 receiving yards.
