Penn Station LIRR trains diverting to alternate terminals due to broken rail

NEW YORK (WABC) — The majority of Penn Station service is being diverted to alternate terminals while Amtrak responds to a broken rail west of Woodside.
Track capacity is also severely limited from Amtrak’s Penn Station tunnel work.
Riders can consider using Grand Central or Atlantic Terminal service instead or taking the Subway to/from Jamaica. The Subway is cross-honoring LIRR tickets.
Commuters should expect cancellations and delays.
The MTA is urging riders to build in extra travel time; expect delays, cancellations, and crowded trains.
