Seattle Seahawks rookie Nick Emmanwori continued his Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign in Week 14 by blocking an Atlanta Falcons field goal attempt to keep the game tied 3-3.
While kicker Zane Gonzalez was lined up on the opposite hash, Emmanwori came screaming around the wing blocker and utilized his one in a thousand athleticism for the Seahawks second field goal block this season. He cleanly gets his hand on the ball to get Seattle the ball back with good field position. Seattle’s struggling offense, unfortunately, went 3-and-out thereafter.
Emmanwori has been around the ball consistently on defense throughout the game, but especially in the second quarter. He’s the best physical answer Seattle has to Falcons star running back Bijan Robinson. He laid a massive tackle for loss on fellow RB Tyler Allgeier on the following drive, too.
The game in Atlanta is a defensive battle thus far, with the Seahawks and Falcons are tied at 6-6 at halftime.
