I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here viewers think the campmates are forgetting that their numbers in camp are dwindling, as they spotted a ‘weird’ moment in camp.
The ITV reality show is nearing an end of another year, with this year’s final set to take place this Sunday (December 7). It means that for the last week, the celebrities have been being eliminated from the camp one by one, before a double elimination on Friday night (December 5).
Martin Kemp became the sixth celebrity to be voted off during Thursday’s (December 4) episode, following Ruby Wax, Kelly Brook, Vogue Williams, Eddie Kaddi and Alex Scott. But ahead of the Spandau Ballet star’s departure from the jungle, Martin was seen taking part in the latest Bushtucker Trial alongside Celebs Go Dating star Tom Read Wilson, who fans will recall was a latecomer to camp alongside Irish presenter Vogue.
The pair were seen hitting the bookshelves in Lethal Libraries. The duo had to find seven books in a library full of snakes and insects to win stars for camp. During the task, Tom hinted for a copy of The Jungle Book, which was hidden on a bookshelf full of snakes, while Martin watched on from a librarian’s desk covered in insects.
As the 39-year-old searched for the book among the reptiles, he said: “I’m sorry, I know you’re just being bookworms.” He moved the snakes as he hunted for the classic novel, and told them: “I’m sorry to disturb you.” Watching on, Martin joked with his campmate: “Be careful of the snakes in there.”

The 64-year-old then joined in with presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, and sang The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book. Ant also said the Celebs Go Dating star was “a little bit leisurely” during the task, as the pair revealed they only won five out of a possible seven stars.
But I’m A Celeb viewers were seemingly confused by the disappointed reaction over the number of stars won, pointing out that it was still quite high considering the camp is now much smaller in size.
@katy_yyyy said: “What a weird reaction from the camp, are they forgetting there’s only 7 of them left? Why are they so mad about 5 out of 7 stars? #imaceleb.” @xxncisaddictxx commented: “The rest of camp acting like 5/7 stars is bad is sad I’m sure they’ll still get a decent meal from that #ImACeleb #imacelebrity.”
@Emma1240 posted: “I was not keen on The camp’s reaction about the number of stars Tom and Martin won. 5/7 is not that bad. They should be bloody grateful they have actually got meals for later. 5 stars is better than 0. #ImACeleb.” @weird_flex_sis wrote: “That was a bit frosty. 5 stars is great. #imaceleb.”
@stacey_who shared: “This camp have had it so easy eating full stars nearly every day that they’re genuinely acting like 5 out of 7 stars is bad. what a crappy reaction from the others when they got back #imaceleb.” @VERSAlNOR added: “Being disappointed with 5/7 stars is crazy this camp hasn’t suffered enough #ImACeleb.”
