The short-handed Cardinals finished the regular season with a 41-0 Governor’s Cup win after three consecutive ACC losses. They finished conference action tied for seventh place in the league standings. Louisville will use the time between the end of the regular season and its bowl game to get healthy. The squad was without leading receiver Chris Bell, running backs Isaac Brown, Keyjuan Brown and Duke Watson and linebacker/safety Antonio Watts, among others, against Kentucky.
