The tour follows the release of The Boy Who Played the Harp, Dave’s first new project since 2023.

That year, his self-produced Central Cee collaboration “Sprinter” broke the record for the longest-running No. 1 rap record in UK chart history (10 weeks) succeeding his 2022 single “Starlight”, which set the record for the longest-running No. 1 solo UK track and marked the first UK No. 1 by a sole writer and producer in eight years.
“Sprinter” also achieved success across Europe, taking the top No. 3 spot in Denmark, Sweden, Holland and Norway, while collab with Tiakola, “Meridian” achieved No. 1 in France in the same year.
The Boy Who Played the Harp dominated the UK charts upon its release – it knocked Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl off the top spot and managed to fend off Lily Allen’s West End Girl. The album features strong religious themes, and its title is a reference to the biblical king David. When Dave announced the album’s release he said David’s “story and search for purpose” had guided him, adding that he’d “grown so much” in the four years since his previous album.
It has received wide acclaim, with Pitchfork describing it as the “contemplative narration Dave is most appreciated for”.
