Sabrina Carpenter Will Hit Late-Night Superfecta Tonight With Seth Meyers Visit

Fresh off her October 18 Saturday Night Live hosting debut, Sabrina Carpenter is set to mark another late-night milestone.

Scheduled to visit NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers tonight, Carpenter will have officially guested on every current network late-night show. (Despite Meyers’ penchant for welcoming SNL regulars to Late Night, Carpenter has never before appeared on the program.)

She has, however, made multiple appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and paid a singular visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Carpenter began making the late-night rounds in 2017. Her debut in the daypart actually came on the now-shuttered Late Late Show with James Corden back in 2017, followed by stints as musical guest on Fallon and Kimmel’s shows. She returned to Corden’s program three more times before the Brit closed up shop in 2023. Carpenter was game to participate in comedy bits during those visits, including dressing like Guy Fieri and auditioning to be Corden’s replacement in “James Corden’s Next James Corden.”

These days, Carpenter most favors Fallon’s Tonight Show, having guested on the venerable talker five times. Her first two appearances, in 2017 and 2021, came as musical guest. Just a couple of months after that second visit, Carpenter secured a seat on the Tonight Show guest couch for a return visit. Last year, she returned to Fallon’s show for both an interview and a musical performance—as well as a guest appearance in Fallon’s recurring “Ew!” sketch alongside Zoë Kravitz.

She returned to Fallon once more last October to perform her hit single “Espresso.”

Carpenter’s most recent appearance on a late-night talk show came on Colbert’s Late Show last December, where she sat for an interview and chugged espresso martinis with the host.

Of course, Carpenter has made her biggest splash in late-night on SNL. Since making her debut on the show as a musical guest in May 2024, she has returned to Studio 8H three more times: to open the show’s 50th Anniversary Special alongside Paul Simon, cameo in Quinta Brunson’s May 3 monologue, and most recently pulled double duty on this season’s October 18 episode.

Meyers’ lineup tonight also includes British actor Josh O’Connor (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), who is set to make his own SNL debut Saturday, December 13.
