ROCKIN’1000 ANNOUNCE MASSIVE UK SHOW AT AO ARENA MANCHESTER FOR MARCH 2026

The world’s biggest rock band is officially coming to the UK. Rockin’1000 – the global collective of over 100,000 musicians – is set to bring its spectacular large-scale live show to AO Arena Manchester on Saturday 7 March 2026. With 300 performers on stage, this will be one of the most ambitious rock events the UK has ever seen.
Known as The Biggest Rock Band on Earth, Rockin’1000 unites guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists, vocalists and orchestral musicians in perfect sync, performing iconic rock anthems as one giant band. The Manchester date marks the latest chapter in the collective’s worldwide movement, which has already sold out stadiums across 20 countries and amassed hundreds of millions of views online.
“Manchester is one of the world’s great music cities”
Founder Fabio Zaffagnini says the decision to bring the show to Manchester was an easy one:
“The UK’s music culture is unrivalled, and Manchester is one of the world’s great music cities. Bringing hundreds of musicians together under one roof creates a powerful emotional connection for everyone involved — on stage and in the crowd. We cannot wait to share this experience with UK fans.”
From a Foo Fighters tribute to a global phenomenon
Rockin’1000 began as a bold idea: bring 1,000 musicians together to play a Foo Fighters song in the small Italian town of Cesena. The 2015 performance went viral overnight and sparked a global movement. Today, the collective includes more than 100,000 musicians, has sold over 300,000 tickets, and continues to stage some of the world’s most ambitious rock events.
You can revisit that first iconic moment on the Rockin’1000 YouTube channel.
Want to join the band? Open registration now live
Musicians of all levels can apply to perform at the Manchester show. Registration is open now at rockin1000.com/join-the-band, where applicants will receive instructions, tutorials and event details through the official app.
Because the event takes place indoors, the performer count will be capped at 300 musicians — the maximum number AO Arena’s floor can safely accommodate. With fewer spots available than usual, early registration is essential.
