Zendaya and Robert Pattinson’s new A24 movie, The Drama, has a release date for 2026 as fans gear up to see their two favorites on-screen despite plot details still largely kept under wraps.
A24 announced on X for fans to save the date for April 3, 2026, as they plan to release The Drama, written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli. This marks Borgli’s second film under the A24 umbrella, following the dark comedy Dream Scenario starring Nicolas Cage.
The plot has not been disclosed yet, but it is reportedly about a romance that takes an unexpected twist before their wedding day. Zendaya and Pattinson are the leads and will star alongside Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Gates.
This won’t be the lead actors’ only project together, as Zendaya and Pattinson are also appearing in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey as Athena and Antinous, set for release on July 17.
Zendaya has a busy 2026 as she’s also reprising her role in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day as MJ, and reprising her role as Rue Bennett in Euphoria’s third and final season. She will also be reprising her role as Chani in Dune: Part Three next year.

Pattinson, who recently starred in Die My Love alongside Jennifer Lawrence, has a few projects lined up, including his new role as Scytale in Dune: Part Three, reprising his role as Bruce Wayne in The Batman: Part II, and Here Comes the Flood, which is currently filming, alongside Denzel Washington, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Moises Arias.
Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen are producing The Drama through Square Peg, which isn’t the first time A24 and Square Peg have collaborated. The companies frequently work together, including Borgli’s Dream Scenario, Death of a Unicorn starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, Eddington starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler. As well as Hereditary and Midsommar.
Zendaya and Pattinson’s upcoming romcom The Drama is set to release in theaters on April 3, 2026.
