CFL releases 2026 schedule with kickoff set for June 4

The Canadian Football League released its 2026 schedule on Tuesday, with the season kickoff set for June 4, when the Montreal Alouettes visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in a rematch of this year’s Eastern Final.

Week 1 of the season will also include the Winnipeg Blue Bombers taking on the Calgary Stampeders on Friday June 5 and the Edmonton Elks visiting the Ottawa Redblacks on June 6.

The reigning Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders will start their season in Week 2, taking on the BC Lions as they raise their banner in front of the team they defeated in the Western Final.

Due to Toronto hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup,the Argonautswill be the home team for three road contests this season – on June 26 in Saskatchewan, July 10 in Winnipeg, and July 18 in Hamilton.

The 2026 will wrap up on Saturday Oct. 24, with the division semi-finals set for Oct. 31 and division finals on Saturday Nov. 7. The 2026 Grey Cup will take place on Nov. 15 in Calgary.
