The renaming of Christmas Jumper Day has sparked the “anti-woke” brigade’s anger.
Many schools across the UK, such as Devonshire Hill Nursery and Primary School in Tottenham, north London, have renamed Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day as “Winter Jumper Day”.
But the move towards embracing inclusivity has been branded “woke” by right-wing media and the anti-woke brigade.
GB News host Martin Daubney, who was a Brexit Party member, has warned the “nonsense wokerati” to “keep their inclusive beaks out of our Christmas festivities” after schools across the UK changed the name of the fundraiser.
The journalist, who in 2007 led a “straight pride” through central London, questioned: ”Is nothing safe from the wokerati?”
He went on to claim that only “Christian festivities and Christian events” get “this kind of nonsensical wokerati interference”.
“Everywhere you go, it’s not appropriate to mention Christ. It’s a festival about the birth of Jesus,” he added.
Comments under GB News’ article feature countless anti-woke opinions, including one person claiming that the change in name has been made in a bid to erase “Christian heritage”.
‘Absolutely disgusting’
“‘Winter Jumper Day’ Translation: Christmas Jumper Day but with the Christianity removed so nobody’s feelings get hurt. Merry Christmas everyone — sorry, I mean Happy Inclusive Festive Period,” another comment read.
“More exclusive to certain religions you mean, not inclusive,” another comment read, while one person questioned: “How is it more inclusive by excluding something?”
Another exclaimed: “Erasing a perfectly harmless tradition to appease the minorities imaginary offence. Absolutely disgusting!”

The anti-woke brigade are known for hitting out at anything that dares to support diversity or promote inclusivity.
Last year, right-wingers slammed tractor company John Deere for supporting a gay Pride event and embracing diversity targets.
