‘RHOSLC’ star Jen Shah released from prison after serving nearly 3 years

Jen Shah is free!
The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” alum was released from the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, in the early hours of Wednesday, Page Six can confirm.
People was first to report the news.
Shah’s rep said late last month that she considers the timing of her early release a “gift she doesn’t take for granted,” noting that she “will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays.”
The rep went on to share that Shah was in a “really positive” and “hopeful” mental state.
“She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before,” the rep insisted.
“Her focus is on her family and building a healthier, more grounded life.”
According to the rep, Shah “understands the seriousness of the mistakes she made and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become.”
The former Bravolebrity, 52, had been behind bars since Feb. 17, 2023, for her role in a long-running nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme.
Shah was arrested in March 2021 and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in connection with telemarketing and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
Though she initially pleaded not guilty to both charges, she ended up pleading guilty to the first charge in July 2022.
In January 2023, she was sentenced to six and a half years in prison and ordered to forfeit $6.5 million in assets and pay as much in restitution to victims as well.
“I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people,” Shah said at her sentencing. “I want to apologize by saying I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.”
Her sentence was reduced nearly a handful of times.
