‘Uber Ski’ in Kelowna launches as Big White season starts

Winter sports enthusiasts in Kelowna are getting a helping hand this year as a new Uber feature is being introduced in the region.
The ‘Uber Ski’ platform is now available on the Uber app with the option lasting until the end of March. It was launched in Kelowna on Monday, Dec. 8.
Uber Ski allows users to reserve a vehicle up to 90 days in advance of use for up to two guests carrying winter sports equipment.
The announcement partially aligns with the opening of Big White Ski Resort, which held its first rides of the season on Dec. 4.
Big White had recently recieved an award as the Best International Ski Resort for Families in the 2025 Out and About with Kids Readers’ Choice Awards.
Uber Ski, which was preivously only available in select American and European cities. has been expanded to include multiple Canadian cities including Edmonton, Gatineau, Kelowna, London, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
